During my quiet time recently I ended up in the middle of the book of Isaiah and started reading. It didn’t take long to notice a theme woven into the fabric of chapters 43, 44 and 45. I figured if God thought it important to repeat the truth of who He is through the process of these three chapters, we might need to sit up and take notice. I hope you’ll take time to prayerfully read the following verses and let God’s words penetrate your heart as they did mine.
I am He. Before Me there was no God formed, and there will be none after Me. I, even I, am the Lord, and there is no Savior besides Me. Even from eternity I am He, and there is none who can deliver out of My hand; I act and who can reverse it? I, even I, am the One who wipes out your transgressions for My own sake, and I will remember your sins no more. Isaiah 43:10b-11, 13, 25
And you are My witnesses, is there any God besides Me, or is there any other Rock? I know of none. I, the Lord, am the Maker of all things, stretching out the heavens by Myself and spreading out the earth alone. Isaiah 44:8, 24
Thus says the Lord, the King of Israel and his Redeemer, the Lord of Hosts – God Almighty: “I am the first and I am the last, and there is no God besides Me.” Isaiah 44:6
I am the Lord, and there is no other; Besides Me there is no god. I will gird you, though you have not known Me; that men may know from the rising of the sun to its setting that there is no one besides Me. I am the Lord, and there is no other! It is I who made the earth, and created man upon it. I stretched out the heavens with My hands, and I ordained all their hosts. I am the Lord, and there is none else. There is no other God besides Me, a righteous God and Savior; there is none except Me. Turn to Me and be saved, all the ends of the earth; for I am God, and there is no other. I have sworn by Myself, the word has gone forth from My mouth in righteousness and will not turn back, that to Me every knee will bow, every tongue will swear allegiance. They will say of Me, “Only in the Lord are all righteousness and strength.” From Isaiah 45
There is only one God, the one true God, creator of heaven and earth, creator of all mankind, creator of all that lives, and moves, and breathes. Do you know Him? There is no Savior besides Him. He wipes out our transgressions and forgets all our sins. When He acts, no one can reverse it. Praise You, Jesus! He is our Rock. A life built on the firm foundation of salvation through Christ Jesus will never be shaken. Hallelujah! He is our Redeemer, God Almighty, the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. He was and is and always will be. Praise the Lord! He is the Lord, and there is no other. In Him alone exist all righteousness and strength. I will place my faith, my hope, my trust in Him.
At the name of Jesus every knee will bow of those who are in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. Philippians 2:9-10
In this life, we can choose to pretend God doesn’t exist, or we can choose to ignore Him by our words and actions, or we can choose to believe in Him and trust Him with our lives . . . But whatever route we choose, in the end we will ALL bow our knees and proclaim with our mouths the truth of who He is. How much more glorious that day will be if we have already been worshipping Him before that day arrives. Will you join me?
O magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt His name together. Psalm 34:3
